Basic information about hotel services

Hotel check-in on the day of arrival is possible from 14:00 and checkout time is 11:00 on the day of departure. Your stay at the hotel is officially ended after turning in the hotel smart card at the hotel reception.

Key
On arrival, each guest will receive a hotel smart card that serves as a room key and to activate electrical sockets and room lights.

Reception
Because of the altitude of the hotel, mobile operator reception is limited, so if necessary, it is always possible to use the land line at the hotel reception. At the reception, you can buy Krkonoše mountain themed gifts and souvenirs as well as postcards, which can also be sent from the reception.

Additional rental services: baby monitors, potties.

Hotel bill
Upon arrival, a hotel account will be set up for each guest or group of guests, which can include all hotel services as well as consumption from the restaurant. Upon departure, the account must be settled in cash or by credit card.

Electricity
Sockets and lights in all rooms are activated by inserting your hotel smart card in the slot next to the door. Each room has one beige colored socket which is functional at all times.

Minibar
In case you consume drinks and snacks from the minibar, please inform the reception when checking out.

‌

Water
Tap water comes from a nearby spring, which goes through strict laboratory testing, and is suitable for drinking and personal hygiene. Mineral water is available for purchase in the restaurant or from the minibar.

Restaurant
A rich and wide selection breakfast buffet, included in the price of accommodation, is served from 8:00 to 10:00.
Kitchen opening hours are 11:30 to 20:30. You can choose meals from our daily specials or from our menu.

Fries brewery
The restaurant at Andula brews beer from Czech malt, hops and fresh spring water directly from the Fries grounds. Thanks to this, our Fries beer has the esteemed designation as an Original Krkonoše Mountain product.

Tours with beer tasting can be arranged at the reception.

Children
For the needs of our smallest guests, each floor is equipped with a cooking area. You can also rent a cot including blankets and baby monitors

Wellness
The wellness area is located on the ground floor and is equipped with a swimming pool, children's wading pool with water attractions, whirlpool bath, and a relaxation room overlooking the Krkonoše Mountains. The sauna section includes a Finnish sauna, a steam bath, an outdoor plunge pool and a relax room. Access to the wellness area is free of charge for guests with accommodation.

Due to the limited capacity of the sauna and to provide adequate heating up time, please make reservations next to the reception in advance.

Bathrobe
Each hotel guest will find a wellness set – bathrobe and slippers – in their room. If the size of the bathrobe is not suitable, please return it to the reception where you can exchange it for one of our other sizes on offer: S, M, L, XL and XXL.

Scooter rental
The hotel offers scooter rental. The price for scooter and helmet is 400 CZK/day. The hotel can offer shuttle services for picking up scooter riders at Strážné and taking them back to Friesovy boudy– price to be agreed upon.

You can also rent a Thule Chariot Cross. The price is 650 CZK/day.

Congress room
The lounge on the ground floor can be used for training and is equipped with audiovisual equipment for conducting meetings, conferences, and cultural events. It includes a ping-pong table and billiards. For a private gathering, we can provide restaurant services directly to the congress room.

Computer room
Located on the first floor, the computer room is equipped with four Internet ready computers and a TV with a Nintendo Wii console.

Small kitchen
There is a small kitchen on each floor, which includes a fridge, microwave oven, kettle and cutlery. Here you can also prepare filtered coffee from the minibar. The fridge is common for the whole floor, so please keep only necessary food here.

Internet
Free Internet via open Wi-Fi is available all throughout Friesovy boudy. For an ADSL connection, please contact the reception.

Parking
In summer, there is ample parking in front of the hotel. In winter, traveling on the road to the hotel by car is not possible, and therefore the hotel provides transportation using tracked vehicles.

Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in all indoor areas of the hotel. All rooms and meeting facilities are equipped with a fire-prevention system.

Credit cards
Payments can be made by a credit or debit card at the hotel. We accept the following cards – VISA, Master Card, Diners Club.

Gift certificates
You can buy gift vouchers (accommodation, price value, massages, etc.) at the reception desk.

A hotel in the Giant Mountains National Park with its own wastewater treatment
The hotel is located in the Giant Mountains National Park, so we ask you to follow the park guidelines, which you can find at http://www.krnap.cz/navstevni-rad-krnap/ or upon request at the front desk. The hotel has its own water purification designed just for this place. So, we ask you not to flush solid sanitary items down the drain, it causes considerable technical and environmental problems. Thank you!

Ecology
On each floor of the hotel, in the kitchens, which are located at the end of the corridor, you will find collection bins for mixed and separated waste (paper and plastic).

Cleaning
Routine cleaning is carried out daily and includes out the trash and vacuuming the rooms. For stays longer than 5 nights, bed linen and towels are changed on the 4th day. If you do not wish to be disturbed or do not need cleaning, please use the "Do Not Disturb" tag on the door handle.

ATM
The nearest ATM is located in town of Vrchlabí. You can also find an ATM during hiking or cross-country skiing trips to Špindlerův Mlýn or at Pec pod Sněžkou.

Doctor/First-aid kit
In case it is necessary, medical services can be arranged through the reception. General medications are available in the first-aid kits at the reception.

Staying during winter

Skiing
The lift is 850 m long. The slope is equipped with lights for night skiing. Part of the slope has a children’s lift. Skiing instructors are also available.

Ski lift price:

• Single lift ticket 1x 60 CZK

Adult:

• Day pass (od 9:00 do 16:00): 500 CZK
• Half day pass (3 hours): 350 CZK

Children:

• Day pass (od 9:00 do 16:00): 410 CZK
• Half day pass (3 hours): 270 CZK

Open hours:
Mo – Su: 9:00 – 16:00 (also depends on the weather)
Evening skiing: 18:30 – 21:00 (minimum for a group of 20 people or more).

A smart card for the lift can be purchased at the lower lift station (only cash payment) or at the reception.

Crossing-country ski rental
The hotel offers cross-country ski rentals. Price for a set (boots, skis, poles) 450 CZK per day.

Sledding
For hotel guests, we offer sleds free of charge, which include bobsleds with safety attachments for young children, as well as plastic sleds.

Ski storage
For storing your skis and bicycles there is a spacious ski storage room next to the reception equipped with a special heated dryer for ski boots.

The telephones in the rooms are used for internal communication within the hotel.
