Sustainability
We are high up in the Krkonoše Mountains, and we know that wasting water, energy or resources makes no sense. That is why we take practical steps that benefit our hotel, our guests and the mountains around us.
Water from the mountains
Our water comes from our own well. In your room, you will find a carafe of fresh water free of charge – without unnecessary plastic bottles.
We change towels on request, helping us avoid unnecessary use of water, energy and detergents.
We also have our own wastewater treatment plant with a capacity corresponding to approximately 340 people. The treated water is returned to nature.
Energy without waste
We have removed minibars from the rooms. They used to run continuously, often with very little use. We therefore offer drinks centrally.
We heat the sauna for specific reserved times, rather than keeping it running all day.
More sustainable operations
We sort waste in the hotel’s back-of-house areas as well. For cleaning, we use Room Care R3-plus Pur-Eco with the EU Ecolabel.
Two litres of concentrate make approximately 100 litres of cleaning solution. This helps us save hundreds of plastic bottles every year.
We have moved hotel information to a QR code. Less paper and easier updates.
From the Krkonoše Mountains and surroundings
We buy ingredients from local producers. Many of them carry the Krkonoše – originální produkt regional label.
A shorter journey means fresher products, less transport and support for people and businesses in our region.
What we are working on
We do not want to promise more than we can deliver. These are the things we are genuinely working on.
Sparkling water from our own source
We want to prepare it directly at the hotel, without transporting plastic bottles.
More meat-free dishes
We will add more vegetarian dishes and make them easy to find on the menu.
The future of heating
We are assessing heat pumps and looking for a solution that makes sense in the long term.
