In the vicinity of the Friesovy Boudy, there are several hiking trails in the Krkonoše Mountains. Both in the direction of Špindlerův Mlýn and Sněžka peak, and along the red marked road to Černá hora, to Jánské Lázně and by connecting to the blue path then to Pec pod Sněžkou. Following the red trail, you can also walk to Vrchlabí and from there connect to other trails that lead to a wide area such as Žalý and Benecko (along the yellow route) or to Dolní Dvůr and Pec pod Sněžkou (along the blue route).
